YARN - 3.5oz/100g of light fingering/ lace weight yarn - Can be any brand and color - Sample scarf was knit with 2 skeins of Rowan Fine Lace (1.75oz/50g, 437yds/400m, 80% baby alpaca, 20% merino), color Antique - The pattern can be modified for another yarn weight and yardage. NEEDLES - US 3/3.25mm needles if knitting loose, US 6/4mm or even US8/5mm needles if knitting tight - For any other yarn - use needles at least 2 sizes up from stated on the label to keep the fabric airy and light NOTIONS - Scissors - Tapestry needle - Blocking mats and pins GAUGE - 26 sts and 30 rows in Blossom Stitch (provided in the pattern) - Is not crucial and can be changed to fit the desired yarn

Blossom Dance is a long lightweight scarf, delicate and modern. The special stitch used in this lace knit reminds of the intricate blossom dancing in the delicate spring sunshine. It is a pretty fast project that has just enough complexity to keep the knitting both interesting and easy to memorize. Repeats of the pattern allow to adjust it depending on the desired length and width of a finished scarf. Both the chart and row-by-row instructions are included in the pattern. There’s also a video tutorial for the Blossom Stitch (k3 out of 3) available. The scarf is designed to look almost identical from both sides.
